Position: Door Assembler

Duties:

  • perform door repairs and assist with door assembly and production
  • build pallets and prepare materials for shipping
  • prep door jambs for house packs
  • operate jamb machines and other production equipment
  • cut parts for daily production requirements
  • assist with laying down doors as needed
  • work effectively as part of a team and independently when required
  • demonstrate initiative as a self-starter with minimal supervision
  • comply with all company safety rules and practices
  • maintain a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment
  • support all aspects of warehouse housekeeping
  • maintain quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions

Shift: Day: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

Compensation (depending on experience): Competitive

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Door /cabinet/ construction industry experience (an asset)
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience in operation of chop saw/ table saw and radial arm saw
  • Safety track record in a distribution/warehouse environment
  • Mathematical aptitude and understanding of imperial measurements to the 1/32 of an inch
  • Reliable, efficient, dependable and a positive approach to your employment
  • Ability to build and sustain positive working relationships with fellow employees and customers
  • Ability to address workplace situations in a calm, respectful, positive and productive manner
  • Excellent communication skills: listening, verbal and written in the English language
